Tamworth Pigs
Tamworth pigs are a rare heritage breed that originated in Central England, prior to the 1800's. They have long heads and strong snouts that enable them to be efficient foragers. Their long, strong legs and sturdy feet give them the ability to walk long distances in their search for food. Tamworths are a very intelligent breed with a lovely disposition. Sows are excellent mothers who are able to produce and care for large litters.
Being a "bacon" breed, they yield a lean and nicely marbled carcass that lends itself well to excellent quality bacon, hams and chops.

Here at Solah Farm, we offer pureberd registered stock for production and breeding uses. Please inquire for more information on upcoming litters.
